New Single Storey Commercial Build
Delivered in mid 2023 by The Truss Joint were 8no. bespoke exposed trusses to Illuka, N.S.W. The rebuild of the new Sedgers Reef Hotel was undertaken by Visual Builders based in Victoria. Visual Builders specialize in major rebuilds and refurbishments of hospitality projects across Australia and are major award winners in both category’s.
Working closely with the builder and project engineer The Truss Joint were able to deliver a product fit for purpose. The plate and bolted connections were a combination of aluminum plate & galvanized mild steel to suit sea side corrosion requirements. Trusses were supported by a series of connection types i.e: site welded to columns, bolted to block work and into beams. Every challenge was met by our team and seamless installation was achieved 1500km away from where the design and manufacture occurred.
Manufactured from Tasbeam15 Glulam hardwood, the trusses were manufactured with white powder coated connection plates & bolts. The timbers were supplied in an pre-primed paint and the final painted finish was applied onsite.
A modern take on the classic Hamptons look. The new bistro area overlooks the beachfront creating the perfect atmosphere for a beer or two.
