Our structural timber beam, design and supply services were called upon to help achieve a rustic upmarket refurbish of the new PRD offices in Bendigo, Victoria.
Working with Peter and his client from concept design stage they had a clear vision and goal in mind. Paying homage to the buildings original use as a Red Wheel Coach Factory by Frederick Bruechert. The original hand painted signage and brickwork were retained and featured throughout.
We were engaged to design and supply new GL18 VicASH Glulam floor bearers which were capable of carrying office/commercial loads. In keeping with the clients theme while we were designing the fixings, we offered to carry the Bruechert name into the fabrication steel work. The result was perfect and had the desired effect of tying in with the rest of the rebuild.
The beams were finished in a natural oil with all fabricated steel being provided powder coat black.
The end result is a credit to Peter and his crew.
